Ernest Gause

Ernest Lee Gause, 88, of Elizabethtown passed away at home surrounded by his loving family Thursday, January 2, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his parents Duck R. and Mattie Gause and one daughter Debbie Preston. He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Virginia W. Gause of the home, one son Charles Gause of Wagram, NC; two daughters: Cathy Gause of Bowling Green, KY and Donna Cavedo and husband Walter of Wilmington, one brother David L. Gause and wife Virginia of Shallotte, one sister Frances G. Davis of Hope Mills, four grandchildren: Crystal Dowless, Sandy Bridgers and wife Victoria, Adam Cavedo, and Emma Cavedo, five great grandchildren: Courtney Howard and husband Bradley, Christian Dowless, Aden Cavedo, Jackson Bridgers, and Luke Bridgers, one great great grandchild, Adalynn Howard, and a multitude of loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown on Saturday, January 4, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Lisbon Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Lewis and Pastor Teddy Lawson officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Elizabethtown City Cemetery in Elizabethtown, NC.
