Ernest Phillips

Ernest Melvin Phillips, 68, of Dublin, died Thursday, October 12, 2006 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington.



Born December 15, 1937, in Georgia, he was the son of Ernest and Addie Mae Phillips.



Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Carver Phillips; and sister, Dorothy Bryan.



He is survived by his wife, Myrna Rich Phillips of the home; daughter, Pansy Phillips Hardy and husband Timmy of Dublin, NC; mother, Addie Mae Phillips of Dublin; brothers, Jack Phillips of Stedman, NC and Raymond Phillips of Dublin; brother-in-law, Wilber Bryan of Bladenboro; and granddaughter, Dedra Hardy.



The visitation will be held from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Bladen Funeral Home and at other times at the home. The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 15 at Bladen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Maples officiating. Burial will follow in the Allen Cemetery.
