March 30, 1926 — October 18, 2016

Ethel Lee Guyton, 90, of Bladenboro passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Georgia Dove Bryan, her husbands Dewitt Dowless and Lacy Guyton, seven brothers: Grad Bryan, Ray Bryan, Walter Bryan, Ippie Bryan, Marvin Bryan, Willie Bryan, Rev. Allen Bryan and Livie Bryan and two sisters: Vera Britt and Mittie Storms. Ethel is survived by four sons: Grady Dowless and wife Janice of Bladenboro; Willard "Bill" Dowless of Lumberton; David Dowless and wife Janice of Bladenboro and Isaac Dowless and wife Joanne of Mannerville, NY; three daughters: Erma Lamb of St. Pauls; Georgia Britt of Bladenboro and Zalean Robertson and husband Rev. Tommy Robertson of Elizabethtown; one sister-in-law Doris Dowless of Whiteville; 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Community Baptist Church in Bladenboro. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2 pm at Community Baptist Church followed by a burial in the church cemetery. John Britt, Rev. Robert Britt, and Rev. Robert Ohlmann will be officiating the services. At other times the family will meet at the home of Georgia Britt, 1494 Guyton Rd, Bladenboro, NC.
