Ethel Priest

Ethel Baldwin Priest passed away Tuesday morning March 3, 2015 at Columbus County Regional Hospital under Hospice Care. She passed peacefully in the presence of family. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Hunter Baldwin and Verina Meares Baldwin; her husband William Harrison Priest; three step-children, Nadine Butler, Laurice Warner, and William "Bill" Priest; nine siblings, and a great grandchild.

She is survived by three daughters, Betty Sheriff of Elizabethtown, Marilyn Sells of Dublin, and Linda Johnson and husband Layton of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Chris Sheriff and wife Betsy, Karen Dowless and husband Samuel, Tonya Hales, Brittney Hardee and husband Matt; a sister, Maria Smith of Linville TX; great grandchildren, Markus Dowless and wife Lauren, Lance Dowless, Chad Daultridge and wife Jill, Samorah, Skylar and Sydney, Tripp and Jenna Hardee; many nieces and nephews; and special Caregivers, Debra Graham, Keri Jernigan and special grandchildren, JJ and Brooke Jernigan.

She was a member of the Seventh-Day-Adventist Church of Elizabethtown, the only charter member of 52 years. She loved her church and church family.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at White Plains Church Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. The family will gather at 800 Peanut Plant Road in Elizabethtown.
