Ethel Storms

Ethel Marie Storms, "Aunt Marie", age 86, of Dublin passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband: Raymond F. Storms; her parents: Nathan Bryan Carroll, Sr. and Vira King Carroll; her siblings: Lucille Taylor, N.B. Carroll, Jr., Margaret Garner, Ballard Carroll, Thomas Carroll and Wilma Hursey.

Marie is survived by many nieces and nephews who she loved like her own. Her family and church family meant the world to her. She was either a loving grandmother, mother, aunt, sister or best friend to each of them. With over 200 family members, she took great pride in being the family historian always recording births, weddings, deaths and attendance at the Carroll family Christmas Eve Reunion for 76 years.

Marie graduated valedictorian of her class at Tar Heel High School. She always looked forward to her high school class reunions to renew those lifelong friendships. She also graduated from Harbarger Business College in Raleigh, continuing her education at Christopher Newport University in Virginia studying accounting and business. Most of her career was spent working for NASA at Fort Eustis, Virginia. Work which she was very proud of and loved dearly, receiving many achievement awards over the years

The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Friday, November 23, 2018 in the fellowship hall at Bethel Baptist Church in Dublin followed by a 3 pm funeral service officiated by Dr. Mack Roberts, Rev. Jonathan Taylor and Rev. Warren Hill. Burial will follow the services in the Allen Cemetery in Dublin.

Marie was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church; therefore in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund PO Box 177 Dublin, NC 28332. It was a desire of "Aunt Marie" to maintain and enlarge the Allen Cemetery for the family and community.
