Eugene Ivey

Eugene “PI” Ivey, 79, U.S. Air Force Veteran of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Durham and Janie Britt Ivey, daughter Lisa Ivey Monroe, and sister Rachel McGhee. PI leaves behind his loving wife, Peggy Ivey of the home, one daughter, Dawn I. Brisson (Kevin) of Bladenboro; two sisters, Marie Ray of Smithfield; Carolyn McKenzie of St. Pauls; and three grandchildren: MacKenzie Brisson, Nolan Brisson and Hayden Brisson.

PI was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He adored and cared for his family a great deal.  An avid sports fan, PI was a softball pitcher in the U.S. Air Force and enjoyed a good round of golf. He also enjoyed watching westerns on tv. He made a great deal of friends along the way because he never met a stranger. His dedication to his country, his family and friends will not soon be forgotten.

The family will be making plans for a private service at a later date.
