Eunice Todd Ward, 97, of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2022. She was born in Columbus County on April 30, 1925, to the late John Nolan Todd and Hattie Lou Ward Todd. Eunice was preceded by her husband, Berlie Ward, brothers, Belton, JC, Edward, and Henry Todd, sisters Esther, Kathleen, Annie, and Leona, two granddaughters Michelle and Dawn, and her grandson, Andy.
Eunice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was always doting on her grandchildren and her little fur baby, Buttons. Not only did her real babies get special attention but her baby dolls as well. She was an avid collector. Eunice had a giving heart and she enjoyed crocheting gifts for others. She also enjoyed watching others tend her vegetable and flower gardens. Her grandchildren remember fondly the days she would delegate them the chore of planting and hoeing the rows. She will be missed by her loved ones here below, but she longed for the day to see her Lord and Savior, Jesus. The family rests in knowing they will reunite again one day over in glory.
Left to cherish her sweet memory are sons, Arnold Ward (Linda) of Bladenboro and Justin Ward (Wanda) of Virginia, two daughters Doris Ward Clabaugh (Frederick) of Bladenboro, and Diane Berry of Bladenboro, one brother Elwood Todd (Carolyn) of Fayetteville, 13 grandchildren, Ruth, Tim, Seth, Keturah, Michael, Tammy, Becky, Roxanne, Neta, Russell, Tammy, Jamie, and Colton and numerous great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 7th in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Bladenboro with Rev. Anthony Hardin officiating.
