Eva Love Cain Cashwell, 90, of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Cain and Carrie Owens Cain, her husband Henry Lee Cashwell, seven brothers, four sisters and one granddaughter, Marianne Kinlaw. Eva leaves behind two sons, Henry Lee “Butch” Cashwell Jr., Gary Cashwell (Angie), three daughters: Belva Kinlaw (Jerry), Kathy Dove, all of Bladenboro; Annette Dunham (Ray) of Evans, Georgia, 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Eva was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family. She often tended to each one of her grandchildren and was the first to give each of them their first bath. Eva enjoyed cooking and sewing clothes for her children. She was a God-fearing woman who taught her family as well as others about the Lord. Over the years, she taught Sunday School at both Abbottsburg Baptist Church and Abottsburg Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Eva loved visiting the mountains and tending her gardens. Rose bushes were her favorite flower. When others gave her a rose, she would name that plant after the person who gifted it to her. An eternal legacy of love and devotion has been left by this beautiful lady with a heart of gold.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 10th at 2:00 pm at the McKinnon Cemetery in Abbottsburg with Rev. Anthony Rich officiating. All attendees are requested to wear masks and practice social distancing.
