Evelyn Davis

Evelyn Estelle Davis, age 83 of Harrells, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph O. Davis and Elma Melvin Davis; husband, James Wilbert Davis, Sr.; sister-in-law, Wanda Davis and brother-in-laws, Harvey Davis and Lacy McDonald. She is survived by a son, James W. Davis, Jr. and wife Ernestine; a daughter, Evelyn Gail Daniel and husband Rev. Francis Daniel; four brothers, Joseph B. Davis and wife Elsie, Donald W. Davis and wife Kathleen, Percy J. Davis and wife Ann, and Oscar R. Davis; three sisters, Elizabeth D. Davis, Helen L. McDonald, and Rev. Della Grace D. Kirk and husband Rev. Tommy Kirk; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

The Family will receive friends on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Elizabethtown Baptist Church. A service will follow at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Rev. Warren Hill. Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Garland Cemetery.
