Everette Milligan

Everette Gerald Milligan, 70, of Bladenboro, died Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System, Whiteville.



Born January 16, 1936 in Bladen County, he was the son of Everette D. and Adine Milligan. Mr. Milligan was the owner of Milligan Music and composer for The Serenaders and many other singing groups.



Mr. Milligan was predeceased by his mother and father.



He is survived by his wife, Julia Vann Milligan of the home; son, Michael Milligan of Elizabethtown; Joy Burroughs of Whiteville; sisters, Joan Taylor of Bladenboro, and Marie Hollingsworth of St. Pauls; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.



The visitation will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2006 at New Light Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church, Bladenboro. The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 17 at New Light Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Cox and McCrae Dove officiating. Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery.
