Fannie Smith McMillan, 85, of Elizabethtown passed away Friday, December 09, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Smith and Mae Annie Roberson Smith; sons: Jimmy, Rodney, Kenneth and Stanley McMillan; daughter, Teresa Smith; grandson, Donald Jackson Evans, Jr. and granddaughter, Bristol Edge.
Fannie leaves behind her husband, Rudell McMillan of Elizabethtown; three daughters: Deborah McMillan of Elizabethtown, Sharon Smith and husband Michael of White Oak, Jessica Tatum and husband David of Elizabethtown; brother, Fred Kermit Smith of Sanford; two sisters: Annie Jane Simmons of Garland, Polly Ruth McMillan of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren: Becky Hall, Stephanie Thompson (Andy), Heather Cooper (Tim), James Smith, Kenny McMillan, Kevin McMillan (Aimee), Zachary McMillan; seventeen great-grandchildren: Austin Cooper, Faith Cooper, Brittany Tatum, Katlynn Tatum, Nolan Tatum, Jameson Tatum, Sydney Thompson, Sierra Thompson, Lauren McMillan, Cole McMillan, Declan McMillan, Madilyn Hall, Luke, Autumn Edge, Seth Jacobs, Krishna Jacobs, Luke Jacobs; two great, great-grandchildren: Adalynn Tatum and Vera Cooper.
Fannie adored her family and the time spent with each and every one of them. She enjoyed doing yardwork, shopping, and going to the beach. She will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Monday, December 12th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, December 13th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Bro. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Briar Branch Church Cemetery.
