Flora Sholar

Flora Elizabeth McMillan Sholar, age 94, of Elizabethtown entered into eternal rest Friday, March 4, 2011 at home. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Mittie McMillan; her husband, Clarence C. Sholar, Sr.; a daughter, Agnes Faye Sholar; seven brothers, Bill, Fred, Austin, Paul, Harry, Matron, and Robert McMillan; and one sister, Lena Suggs. She was a devoted spouse, a loving mother, a faithful, loving Christian who attended church at every service. She was acknowledged for her local mission work; known as a wonderful cook; and was an avid cross-stitcher.



She is survived by sons, Clarence Sholar, Jr. and wife Joanne of Canton, NC, Gene Sholar and wife Marguerite of Winter Green, Florida, Donald Sholar and wife Diane of Elizabethtown, and Larry Sholar and wife Pam of White Lake; daughters, Linda Sholar Richards and husband Larry of Elizabethtown, Janet Sholar Inman and husband Sandy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Deloris Sholar Keuvelaar and husband Al of White Oak; brother, Paul McMillan and wife Hilda of LaGrange, Georgia; sister-in-law Catherine McMillan of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.



The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 6, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Services will be conducted on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Tim Coalter, Rev. Bill Tatum, and Rev. Alton Burrow. Burial will follow at the White Oak Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery.
