Frances Batton

Frances Amelia Batton, 76, of Bladenboro entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 16, 2010.

She was born in Bladen County on June 3, 1934 to Graham O. and Essie Cain Packer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ralph E. Batton; one sister, Mildred Bullard; two brothers, Claude and Willie Packer and three grandchildren.



She is survived by her husband of the home, Ralph Batton; one son, James E. Batton of Bladenboro; four daughters, Vonda M. Hester, Shirley R. Smith and Paula F. Batton all of Bladenboro and Sheila R. Harrison of Sanford; one brother, Lacey Packer of Miami, FL; three sisters, Sadie Jones of Evergreen, Rosa Dove and Helen Blackmon both of Bladenboro; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.



The family will receive friends on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:30 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 2:00 pm at North Side Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Cannon, Rev. Scott Lewis and Rev. Cameron McGill officiating. Burial will follow at Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown.
