Frank Vincent DePaul retired United States Army Veteran passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, while at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville at the age of 75.

 He was born and raised in Baltimore Maryland on August 31, 1948.Upon graduating high school, he joined the United States Army where he served as an 82nd Airborne Ranger, Special Forces and Team Sergeant until his retirement. Frank loved his country and his family dearly. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved to cook for his family, and they looked forward to the holidays when he would bring out the grill to prepare them a feast. He was not only a great chef but also a true handyman. He could often be found in his yard or in his building tinkering on something. Frank also enjoyed taking RV trips to the beach and watching tv. His devotion to his family and his country will not soon be forgotten.

 Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Anita DePaul of the home, four sons Frank DePaul, Mark DePaul, David DePaul and Butch Burton (Donna), three daughters Susanne Oliver, Carolyn Downing, and Dianna McDonald, two sisters Ann Stratemeyer and Teresa DePaul, 10 grandchildren Donavan Burton, Olivia Burton, Sabriel DePaul, Jacob Oliver, Josh Oliver, Gavin DePaul, Ayden DePaul, Shannon Downing, Brooke Downing, and Vincent DePaul and two great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 2:00pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after the service.
