Frank Mims, Jr., 76 of Elizabethtown and formerly of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, April 19, at Highsmith - Rainey Hospital in Fayetteville, NC.
Mr. Mims was born July 13, 1929. He worked at Tews Tile and Carpet, Fayetteville for thirty years.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday, April 21, at Lafayette Memorial Park, Fayetteville with Bishop Aaron Waters officiating. The family will receive friends after the service and at other times at the home located at 2464 NC 53 Hwy W, Elizabethtown.
Mr. Mims was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Dew Mims; parents, Parthenia & Rev. Alfred Waddell; birth parents, Alice Brown Mims and John Frank Mims; brothers, Charlie Mims and Jesse Mims; sisters, Edna White and Ruby Mims.
He is survived by his wife, Gladine Sutton Mims; daughters, Beverly Mims Hall and husband Randy of Fayetteville, Deborah Bryan Cook and husband Jimmy of Elizabethtown, and Tonya Bryan of Elizabethtown; sons, Darryl Mims of Fayetteville and Dennis Bryan & wife Charlene of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Miranda Hall, Amy Cook Barnes, Jason Cook, Kayla Baker, and Kelly Bryan; great grandchild, Jacob Barnes; and brother, Charles Waddell and wife Ruby.
