Franziska Katharina Eidenschink Coleman, 89, of Carvers Creek passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Josef and Maria Eidenschink and her husband Howard Coleman. Survivors include: son, Curtis Coleman of Carvers Creek, three daughters: Patricia Soles, Elizabeth Coleman, both of Carvers Creek and Bernice Cranford and husband Tim of Fort Mill, SC, two grandchildren Crystal Smith and husband Greg and Kelly Ferrell and two great grandchildren, Anna Marie Smith and George Coleman Smith.
Miss Coleman was a life member of the VFWA Post 8073 in Whiteville, NC and was the past president and secretary/Treasurer of VFWA Post 10401 for many years. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, especially all of the wild game brought home by her husband and children. Her needlework and cooking was enjoyed by many. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 6th at 3:00 pm at Carvers Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery in Carvers Creek. Pall bearers will include Marion Bracey, Tim Stevens, Virgil McDuffie, CP White, Mitchell Norris, David Settlemeyer, Daniel McDuffie, and Sammy Charles. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Veteran Memorial Park Fund @ P.O. Box 1003 Whiteville, NC 28472.
