Furnie Deaver

January 28, 1946 — October 21, 2017

Furnie Deaver, 71, of Bladenboro passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Pearl Deaver, two sisters: Jeanette Deaver and Martha Stubbs and one brother John Deaver. Furnie is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Ann Deaver, of the home, two daughters: Annette Nance and Amelia Storms and husband Johnathan, two brothers: JT Deaver and wife Patricia and Ray Deaver, all of Bladenboro; one sister Mary Davis and husband Michael of Hampton, VA, four grandchildren: Allie Nance Hood and husband Brent of Elizabethtown; Mark Nance also of Elizabethtown; Erica Storms and Talon Storms of Bladenboro and one great grandchild Holden Hood.

Furnie, a man of few words, was compassionate, shy and quiet. He loved his family and his cup of coffee. Furnie enjoyed joking around and playing tricks and he loved for his wife to read him the bible. Their family had a close bond and he has left a void that can never be filled. He will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, October 24th at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 25th at 3 pm at First Assembly of God Church in Bladenboro with Rev. Anthony Hardin officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Singletary Cemetery in Butters.
