George Marcus "Mark" Hester, age 63, of Bladenboro passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents Julius Hester and Mary Gund Hester, one sister: Sandra Russ, and one brother-in-law: Robert Wheeler. Left to cherish his memory are his former wife: Sue Price of Whiteville, step-son: Danny Paul Price Jr. of Whiteville; step-daughter: Paula Sue Small of Shallotte; two sisters: Rita Benson and husband Eddie of Bladenboro and Rose Ann Wheeler of Wilmington; one granddaughter: Kaitlyn Price, four nieces: Meleah Pait (Chris), Maachah Wheeler, Krystal Wheeler, and Lynn Peterson, two nephews: Ronnie Benson (Samantha) and Kevin Benson (Sherree); great nieces: Amanda Bunch, Krista Pait, Jordan Peterson, Morgan Peterson, Allison Benson Kaleigh Benson and Brittany Benson; great nephews: Daniel Pait and Joshua Benson, and life long best friend, Steve Wilson.
Mark was an adventurous soul who enjoyed airplanes, flying, boats, skiing, and trips to White Lake. He loved his family and his pet dog "Charlie". He often spent time riding in the woods with Charlie at his side on the golf cart. He will be missed by all those that had the pleasure of knowing him.
A memorial service to celebrate Mark's life will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
