Geraldine "Geri" Julia Toro, 88, of Elizabethtown, North Carolina, formerly of Roswell, New Mexico, died peacefully at her son's home on Monday, September 2, 2024.
Geri was born August 2, 1936 in Scranton, PA. Geri enjoyed wire wrap and jewelry making and her Find-A-Word puzzles. She started working for C&P Telephone Company, then moved onto Office Management with a lengthy career.
Geri is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Toro; her parents, Anthony and Mary Limongelli; her brother, Rocco Limongelli; and her sister, Virginia Everette.
Left to cherish Geri's memory are her son, Paul Toro of North Carolina; her daughters, Deborah Roof of Florida, and Lori Toro of Florida; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Geri was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. She had previously taught Sunday School in Roswell, New Mexico. She loved being around family, people she knew and especially children. She had an open heart for all and could never turn away from stray animals that she came across.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the Trinity Methodist Church in Elizabethtown.
