Gladys Younger

Gladys B. Younger, 79 of White Oak, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Vera Parker Bordeaux; daughter, Kathy Norris Butler; grandson, Brandon Owen and brother, Claxton Bordeaux.

Ms. Gladys' family was her life. She enjoyed spending time with them especially her grandchildren. She loved to bake, sew and work in her flowers. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds, and caring for her chickens, who she named "Toosties". She enjoyed singing in the church choir, and loved her church family dearly.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Christ Community Church with the services to follow at 3:00 pm. Pastor Jerry Fisher will officiate. Burial will follow at White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by her two sons, Charles Norris, Jr. of White Oak and Kenny Norris (Gail) of Sumter, SC; three daughters, Debbie Norris Dunham (Steve) of White Oak, Charlene Bryan (Dennis) of Elizabethtown and Joyce Owen (Doyle) of White Oak; two brothers, Horace Bordeaux of White Oak and Mack Bordeaux (Barbara) of Beaver Dam; one sister, Louise Leonhardt (Will) of Wilmington; Eleven grandchildren, Stephen Matthew Dunham (Aleesha), Lindsay Dunham Rogers (Justin), Kayla Baker, Kelly Bryan, Stephanie Thompson (Andy), Jason Norris, Brittany Mussel (Dean), Brett Norris (Megan), Taylor Norris, Melissa Butler - Arhelger and Michelle Butler Hollingsworth; twelve great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.
