Grady Butler

Grady Leon Butler, 73, of Dublin, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at his home.



Mr. Butler was born to Norman Butler and Laura Hester Butler on September 15, 1932. He was the Postmaster for the Dublin Post Office for 36 years. He was a very active Lion\\'s Club Member, an active member of the Young at Heart Missionary Group at Dublin First Baptist Church and he used to be a fireman. Mr. Butler was also a very active square dancer.



He is preceded in death by his father, Norman Butler and his mother, Laura Hester Butler; his wife, Mary Helen Hester Butler; and a brother, Thomas Butler.



He is survived by his son, Mark Butler and wife Jeanne; daughters, Rhonda McManus and husband Robert, and Kim Morgan; his fiance, Gernell Cannady; a brother, Donald Butler; and sisters, Yvonne Cross and Joan Crenshaw; grandchildren, Hilary Morgan, John Dewey Morgan, Danny McManus, Timmy McManus, Candace Butler, James Butler, Christopher Butler, and Mary Butler; step grandchildren, Sheana Stitz, Samantha Stitz, and Steven Stitz; great grandchildren, Ryan Scott Yandle and John Daniel Morgan; and step great grandchild, Tristian Stitz.



The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 14, at Dublin First Baptist Church, Dublin. The visitation will be Thursday, July 13, 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Bladen Funeral Home and Cremations, Elizabethtown. The burial will be in Singletary United Methodist Church Cemetery, Dublin.
