Harold P. Cain,86, of White Lake and Fayetteville areas entered into eternal rest Friday, October 15, 2010. Harold Cain worked in car sales for more than forty years. His love of cars led him to be involved in drag racing and was affectionately referred to by his friends as "Camshaft Cain". He loved to travel and drove a tour bus for Carolina American for 17 years. Harold Cain loved people, his family, and his church. This family's loss is heaven's gain.
He is predeceased by his parents, Emmit Cain and Fodie Owen Cain; and one sister Mildred Allen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Janet, of the home; two daughters Dorothy Merritt and husband, Pee Wee, of White Lake, and Helen McCall and husband, Ron, of Jacksonville, Florida; two grandchildren, Hal Strickland, and Denah Wade of Fayetteville; one grandchild by marriage, Tammy Merritt, and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 17,from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Services will be held at Elizabethtown Baptist Church on Monday, October 18, at 1:00 PM with Rev. Chris Carroll and Rev. Ed Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Lafayette Cemetery on Ramsey St. in Fayetteville at 3:00 PM.
