Harold Dean Ingram Sr., 83, of Clarkton passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014. Mr. Ingram was preceded in death by his parents, Furman and Etta Ingram; three brothers, Frank, Bernard, and Carroll Ingram and a sister, Christine Ingram. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ingram of the home; a son, Harold Ingram Jr. and Jessica of Charlotte; three daughters, Anne Bell and husband Bob of Mt. Pleasant, Joanie Basobas and husband Terry of Whiteville, and Deana Elkins and husband Scott of Clarkton; two sisters, Ruth Roberson of Lilesville and Violet Preston of San Antonio; four grandchildren, Cara, Aubrey, Savanna, and Izaac, and one great grandchild, Kennley.
Mr. Harold Ingram, Sr. served over 30 years in the Bladen County School System. He spent his life dedicated to his church, his family, and his community with a heart for education and coaching. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-4 pm on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Clarkton First Baptist Church with a Graveside service following at 4:00 in Clarkton Cemetery with Rev. Mark Miller officiating.
The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to Clarkton First Baptist Church, Habitat for Humanity or a charity of ones choice.
