Harold Douglas Thomas

Harold Douglas Thomas, 73, of Elizabethtown,  was born on March 24, 1951 in Sampson County to John and Mary Merritt Thomas and died, peacefully in his home on May 4, 2024. 

Mr. Thomas loved his family, enjoyed playing golf. When he was not playing golf he was working. Harold retired from his long career as a pipefitter and was a proud member of the Plumbers and Pipefitter's Local Union 421. He was defined by his work ethic and love for the Lord. 

Harold was the beloved husband of Cynthia Johnson Thomas, father, brother, and son. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Albert Thomas (Joyce) and Bennett Thomas (Sylvia). Harold will be dearly missed by his four children, Mellissa Loft (Jason); Stephen Thomas (Amber);Jessica Davis (Rob); Matthew Thomas ( Vanessa); his grandchildren, Cassidy and Lilly Davis; Jack and Mason Thomas; and Matthew Thomas Jr.; his surviving siblings, Dean Butler (Jerry); Johnny Thomas (Joyce) and several nieces and nephews.
