Hazel Cain

Hazel Benton Cain, 78, of Bladenboro passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012. Hazel was born in Columbus County on August 17, 1933 to the late Streety E. Benton and Mattie Beck Benton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Streety E. Benton and Mattie Beck Benton; her husband, Herbert Cain; one daughter, Cheryl Cain.

Hazel is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Freeman and husband Worth of Lumberton and Melody Cain of Bladenboro; one brother, Charles Benton and wife Emma of Bladenboro; two granddaughters, Beverly Hester and husband Carl and Amanda Hester; seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Bladenboro with Rev. Bert Young and Rev. Eckie Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow in Bladen Memorial Gardens.
