Henry Paul McQueen, Jr., age 76 of Bladenboro, died Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Wilmington. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Paul McQueen, Sr. and Wyomah McQueen. He is survived by his wife of 54 years (on September 27, 1960), Sarah Ellis McQueen of the home; two daughters, Paula McQueen Fatica and husband John of Spring Hope and Barbara McQueen Bianco and husband Joe of Raleigh; two sisters, Sally McQueen of Laurel Hill and Elizabeth Bryan of Raleigh; three grandchildren, Maria Hill and husband Timothy, Joseph Bianco and wife Megan, and Jason Bianco; and one great granddaughter, Alyssa Hill.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver and director of Blanton Truck Driving School of Lumberton.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 29, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at New Center Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Kevin Kinlaw and Rev. Barry Helms. Burial will follow at Meadows Cemetery.
