Hobson Mcculloch

Hobson McCulloch age 81, of Council, NC entered into eternal rest Saturday, January 10, 2009 in Columbus Regional Hospital in Whiteville. He was predeceased by his parents, Pearson and Letitia Hester McCulloch; by his very special son, Thomas McCulloch and a sister, Elsie Campbell.



Hobson graduated from Clarkton High School and worked for E.J. Cox Company in Clarkton from 1951 until his retirement in 1988. He was a member and deacon of Council Baptist Church.



He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rachel McLean McCulloch of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Joey Elkins of Western Prong, a grandson, Christopher Elkins; a sister Louise Quick of Clarkton; and four nieces.



The family will receive friends Monday, January 12, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 2:00pm at Council Baptist Church. With Rev. Jack Miller and Rev. Ronnie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Clarkton Cemetery.
