Homer Harold Clevenger, age 83 of Kingston, Tennessee died at home May 17, 2015. Mr. Clevenger is survived by his wife Mary Elise Bridger Clevenger of Kingston, TN (formerly of Bladenboro); daughter Julie Kathleen and son-in-law Bradley Paul Horky of Brentwood, TN; daughter Rebecca Felicia Clevenger of Kingston, TN; sister Rebecca Shepherd and brother-in-law Jerome Allan Saye of Harriman, TN; four grandchildren, Rebecca Elise Horky, Wesley Burnett Horky, Lydia Rose Horky and Evan Bradley Horky; niece, Valerie Saye Day; nephews, Matthew Allan Saye and Eric Anthony Saye; and five grandnieces, Dorothy Elizabeth Saye, Hannah Alexandra Saye, Sarah Louise Parsley, Madelyn Clark Saye, and Miranda Hope Saye.

Mr. Clevenger was preceded in death by his parents Valera Shepherd and Homer Bewley Clevenger of Greeneville, TN; and sons, George Naylor Cleavenger of Sunnyvale, CA and Harold Burnett Clevenger of Daly City, CA.

Mr. Clevenger was graduated from East Tennessee State College in 1962 and received a B.S. degree with a major in English. He attend Tusculum College and the University of Tennessee College of Law prior to graduating from ETSC. Mr. Clevenger was graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 1983. He was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 1994. During his career he served as Director of Industrial Relations for Kingsport Press (Kingsport, TN), Vice President of Industrial Relations for Arcata National (New York City) and Vice President and General Council for Ricoh Corporation (San Jose, CA). Mr. Clevenger was a veteran of the Air Force serving as a Radar Technician from 1951 to 1955.

Mr. Clevenger was a member of Kingston Rotary Club for many years, and also enjoyed golf, private aviation, building and flying remote control planes, visiting Europe with his wife and boating with his grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 22, 2015 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston, TN. Graveside services will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery Bladenboro, NC on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Bethel Presbyterian Church of Kingston or First Baptist Church of Bladenboro, NC.
