Hugh Cook

Hugh Mohr Cook, 63, of Elizabethtown passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, B. Frank Cook and Gerline Santee Cook, one brother, Bobby Cook, his mother and father-in-law, Herbert and Christine Canady and his son-in-law, Wesley Long. Hugh is survived by his wife of 43 years, Diana Cook of the home, one son Jonathan Cook (Ashton) of Elizabethtown, two daughters, Crystal Long and Jennifer Long (Roman) of the home, one brother Jimmy Cook of Abbottsburg, and three grandsons: Lucas Hugh Cook, Franklin Cook and Zechariah Long.

Hugh married the love of his life in 1978 and together they raised three children. His family was the apple of his eye. Hugh loved the outdoors whether he was working, hunting, fishing or just sitting. A friend to all that will be certainly missed.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will on Wednesday, April 21st at 2:00 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home with Rev. Roland McKoy and Rev. Aaron Corcelius officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Calvary Cemetery in Elizabethtown. All attendees are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
