James Davis

James Wilbert Davis, 88, of Bay Tree Lakes, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N. C. Wilbert was born in Bladen County on April 22, 1925. He is survived by Evelyn D. Davis, his wife of 63 years; one daughter, Gail Daniel and husband Rev. Marvin Francis, one son, Jimmie Davis and wife Ernestine, five grandchildren,10 great grandchildren, one brother, W. T. Davis and wife Thelma of Garland, NC and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at 1:00pm on Wednesday, November 13 at Elizabethtown Baptist Church with a service of Death and Resurrection at 2:00 pm.
Burial will follow at Garland Cemetery in Garland. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Gail and Francis Daniel at 1004 Bay Tree Lakes.

The family requests memorials to be sent in lieu of flowers to the Rebuild the Vision Fund at Elizabethtown Baptist Church, 1800 W. Broad Street, Elizabethtown, NC 28337 or Bay Tree Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department, 12717 NC Hwy 41 E., Harrells, NC 28444.
