James Edwards

James Curtis Edwards, 73, of Corapeake, NC passed away on the evening of February 12, 2018 at Sentara CarePlex Hospital. He was a self-employed cabinet carpenter. Curtis leaves to cherish his memory: daughters: Lauren Edwards of NC, Dennee Edwards of NC; son: Richard Urbanek of NC; brothers: Sammie L. Edwards of Portsmouth, VA; Charles Edwards of Portsmouth, VA; Kenneth Edwards of Virginia Beach, VA; sister: Ellen McDowell of Basheor, KS and numerous cousins and relatives.

We will remember his passion for horses and him riding his motorcycle to all parts of the state.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral fund of James Curtis Edwards c/o Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home, P.O. Box 3150, Elizabethtown, NC 28337.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses at the Sentara Hospitals for their wonderful care during his prolonged illness. Their efforts will never be forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 pm on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown followed by a funeral service at 4 pm. Burial will follow the services in the Bryant Family Cemetery in Bladenboro. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Freddie and Rosalie Edwards, 1799 Guyton Rd, Bladenboro, NC 28320.
