James Harden

James Charles Harden "Jim", 69, formerly of Bladenboro passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 in Reno, Nevada. He is preceded in death by his parents, Azzie and Margaret Harden. Survivors include his daughter Amanda Harden McComb and husband Aaron McComb, two grandchildren: Brady and Ava McComb all of Reno, NV; one brother Joe Harden and wife Patricia of Wilmington, NC; one niece Cheryl Harden and one nephew Jeffrey Harden and wife Denise and one great niece Vanessa. Jim was born on February 18, 1947 and raised in Bladenboro, N.C. He left Bladenboro for college at Campbell University from 1965-1969 and then joined the U.S. Air Force from 1969 to 1973. He returned home to Bladenboro to raise his daughter and work as a banker for BB&T until he retired in 2012. He spent the last year with his daughter and grandchildren in Reno, NV surrounded by love. Jim will be thought about and missed every single day by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 2-4 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
