James Meares

James Timothy "Tim" Meares, age 47 of Bladenboro, died Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice House in Whiteville. He is preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his parents, Jimmy Meares and Wanda Bruce Meares both of Bladenboro; and two uncles, Warren D. Bruce, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA and Frank Bruce of Salisbury.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Larry Singletary. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gibson Cancer Center, 1200 Pine Run Dr, Lumberton, NC 28358 or Lower Cape Fear Hospice House, 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville NC 28472.
