James Murphy Kinlaw, 63, of Bladenboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 29, 2007 at his home.
He was born in Robeson County to Murphy Lee and Estelle Katherine Kinlaw. Mr. Kinlaw served in the United States Air Force. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Kinlaw also worked for DuPont, where he retired.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jerline Bryant Kinlaw; his father, Murphy Lee Kinlaw; his mother, Estelle Williams Kinlaw Dettman; oldest brother, Herbert Lee Kinlaw; and granddaughter, Amanda P. Hickman.
Mr. Kinlaw is survived by one son, Mike Kinlaw of Bladenboro; two daughters, Teresa Lynn Hickman of Supply, and Kimberly Pittman of Bladenboro; one brother, Bennie Earl Kinlaw of Barnwell, SC; one sister, Pam Roberts of Bladenboro; five grandchildren, Johnnie Hickman, Kayla Pittman, Trent Pittman, Jacob Kinlaw, and Jarrett Kinlaw; and three great-grandchildren, Ashley Jerline Hickman, Amber Hickman, and Abbie Hickman.
The visitation will be Tuesday, January 1, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greater Vision Freewill Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Ronnie Brisson officiating.
