James Davis

James Roland Davis, 68, of Bladenboro entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 26, 2010. He was born in Bladen County on April 12, 1942 to Roland and Lena Mae Pait Davis.



He was preceded in death by his parents,two sisters, Doris Carter and Shelby Donovan; and a grandson, Jamie Wilkins.



The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Richardson Baptist Church with Rev. Darren Andrews officiating. Burial will follow at Singletary Cemetery in Butters.



James is survived by one son, James Robert Davis and wife Denise of Lumberton; two daughters, Dianna Banks and husband Mike of Clayton and Susan Wilkins and husband Walter of Bladenboro; one brother, John Davis and wife Laura of Bladenboro; five sisters, Mary Lou Thompson and husband Sonny of Abbottsburg, Josephine Pitt and husband Gus of Lumberton, Janis Davis and husband Buddy of Evergreen, Wanda Dowless and Debra Jackson both of Bladenboro; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
