James Wilkins

James \\"Jamie\\" Walter Wilkins, age 28, of Bladenboro, died on Saturday, October 25, 2008. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Walter Wilkins, Jr., and great-grandmother, Katie Sykes.



Jamie was employed with Barnhill Paving Company of Fayetteville. He was a very compassionate, caring and wonderful husband, father, son, and brother and will be greatly missed.



Jamie is survived by his wife Amy Wilkins and daughter, Madison Grace Wilkins of the home. His parents, Walter and Susan Davis Wilkins of Bladenboro; brothers, Daniel Wilkins and wife Brandy of Clarkton, and Jonathan Ashworth Wilkins of Bladenboro; a sister, Amanda Branch and niece Katie Branch of Bladenboro; paternal grandmother, Linda Wilkins; his maternal grandparents Mary Lou Davis of Bladenboro and James Davis of Elizabethtown; and his great-grandfather, Harvey Sykes.



Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Bobby Winebarger and Rev. Merle Johnson at Butters Baptist Church on October 28, 2008 at 2:00 pm with burial following at Bladen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Bladen-Gaskin Funeral Home on Monday, October 27, 2008 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
