Jane Love Butler Black, 85, of Taylors, SC passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at her home on Linkside Drive.
Born in Tabor City, NC, she was the daughter of Joseph Franklin and Mamie Bridger Butler. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Norman M. Black, Jr., her four sisters and a step-son, Robert Black.
Surviving her are her son, David Armstrong, III and his wife Teresa of Taylors, SC; brother, Joe Butler and his wife Charley of Cary; grandchildren, Rebecca A. Christy and her husband Brad, David Armstrong, IV and his wife Lauren; great-granddaughters, Catherine Love Armstrong, Bradyn Christy, Caroline Christy, and Hannah Christy. She is also survived by three stepsons and their wives, a stepdaughter, ten step-grandchildren, and 17 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, November 16 at First Baptist Church in Bladenboro. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall from eleven o'clock until time for the service.
