Jane Starnes

Jane Creech Starnes, age 60 of Clarkton passed away Monday, May 21, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents Billy and Faye Creech and her aunt Gail Singletary. Jane leaves behind her husband Richard Starnes of the home, son Lee Starnes of the home, daughter Sasha Coe and husband Joseph of Clarkton; two brothers: Wayne Creech and wife Janis of Whiteville, Richard Creech and wife Donna of Clayton; three sisters: Elaine Jones and husband Roger of Clarkton; Cynthia Horne and husband Eddie of Whiteville; Marie Boswell and husband Carlton of Clarkton; three grandchildren: Kaitlyn Strickland, Taylor Strickland and Amber Coe and her canine baby girl: Belle.

Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She served as the town clerk of Dublin for approximately 15 years. Jane was a hard worker and loved her co-workers. She was always considerate of others and put their needs before her own. Jane loved to craft, sew and do secret good deeds for others. She will be missed greatly.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, May 23rd at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 24th at 2:00 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Anthony Hardin officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Salem Church Cemetery in Clarkton, N.C.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Liberty Hospice in Whiteville, N.C.
