Janice Davis

Janice Davis, 73, of Bladenboro, passed away at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack Tyler and Angeline Singletary Tyler; husband, Joel "Joe" Davis, and infant sister, Elvis Jane Tyler.

Janice was a loving, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a simple woman with a big heart. She enjoyed keeping her home, her garden, her yard, and feeding her family. She knew her way around a kitchen. Janice loved her church, Oak Grove Original Freewill Baptist Church of Bladenboro and was faithful in attendance as long as her health allowed. Her simple life was full of love, laughter and great memories. She will be dearly missed.

Janice leaves behind her son, Joey Davis; daughter, Regina Davis Walters (Glenn); sisters: Judy Peterson (Tony) of Shallotte, Claudette Mosher of Bladenboro, and grandson, Travis Dixon Walters.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 pm on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Oak Grove Original Freewill Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm with the Reverend Jackie Strickland. Janice will be laid to rest beside her dear husband in the church cemetery.
