Jean Willoughby

August 11, 1931 — August 26, 2013

Jean Butler Willoughby of Bladenboro passed away Monday, August 26, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred G. and Odie Brisson Butler, one child Willie F. Fell, III, three sisters: Bernice Horne, Flora Butler, and Rosie Jane Davis; and three brothers: Calvin (Coolidge) Butler, Jerry Butler and Renalty (Nalty) Butler. She is survived by her husband Homer Willoughby of the home, one son Gary Fell and wife Faye of Bladenboro; two daughters: Julie Fell Ballweg and husband Jim of Cary and April Willoughby of Dublin; five grandchildren: Gary Wayne, Wendy, Terry, Chasity, and Willie F. Fell, IV (Will); nine great grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 30, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Center Road Baptist Church in Bladenboro with Rev. Dewayne Lambeth officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Jean Butler Willoughby loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending quality time with them after retiring from the NC Dept. of Agriculture. She also enjoyed music, walks on the beach, and many renovating projects of her home. Mrs. Willoughby just enjoyed life and made every moment count. She will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved her.
