Jenny Britt

Jenny Lewis Britt, 42, of Bladenboro passed away suddenly Tuesday evening, December 31, 2013. She left a loving husband, Ernest Britt and a young son Colin.
Jenny was a 1989 graduate of Bladenboro High School. After graduation, she attended Pembroke State University for four years receiving a BS degree in Social Work. She later worked for Bladen and Columbus County as Director of the Guardian Ad Lidem Program.

Jenny is survived by her husband, Ernest Britt, son Colin Britt; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ross Lewis, a paternal grandmother Mrs. Erlene Baxley Lewis; two brothers Edward Ross Lewis, Jr. and wife Amanda; and Berry Lewis, all of Bladenboro. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Berry Lewis of Bladenboro and maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Langston of Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home from 6-8 pm Friday, January 3, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 4, 2014 in the First Baptist Church of Bladenboro. Burial will follow the services in the Lewis Family Cemetery off Marsh Rd in Bladenboro.
