Jerry Smith

Jerry Wayne Smith, 52, of Council, NC entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Bladen County Hospital. Mr. Smith was born in Bladen County December 18, 1955, son of Albert Smith and Lou Lilly Gooden.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his father Albert Smith.

He is survived by his wife Jenny Savage Smith; and son Jerry Brandon Smith of the home, his mother Lou Lilly Gooden of Council, one brother James Franklin Smith of Council, two sisters, Loretta Jane Howell of Council, and Mary Lou Jessup of White Lake, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 23, 2008 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home Friday, October 24, 2008 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Kincy Barrow officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Horeb Church Cemetery.
