Jerry David Willoughby, 74, of Bladenboro passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred David Willoughby and Lillie Mae Willoughby and one brother, Ernest Ray Willoughby. Jerry is survived by his wife, Glenda B. Willoughby of the home, one son, Keith Willoughby (Kimberly) of Bladenboro; one daughter, Dawn Sykes (Keith) of Bladenboro; one brother, Homer Willoughby of Dublin; seven grandchildren: Zack Willoughby, Hunter Willoughby, Krisna Evers, Ethan Willoughby, Katelyn Willoughby, Austin Sykes, Kaleb Davis and one great grandchild, baby Evers.

Jerry was a loving brother, husband, father and grandfather. He adored his family and loved to spend time with them. He could be found most days in his barn working on something. There was nothing he could not do. His hobbies included fishing, golfing, hunting, softball and working on cars. A man of few words that never complained about anything. Ready to lend a hand to anyone that ask, Jerry will be remembered for his compassionate heart, gentle disposition, and sense of humor.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 pm on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Bladenboro Church of God with a funeral service at 4 pm with Rev. Oneil Parker officiating. Burial will follow the services in Singletary Cemetery, off Old Boardman Rd in Bladenboro. All attendees are asked to wear masks due to the COVID 19 epidemic.
