Major Jimmy Johnson Kinlaw US Army-. Ret. Age 72, of 11295 NC Hwy 53 W, White Oak, passed from this earth into eternal rest on December 14, 2009
Mr. Kinlaw served honorably and with distinction both stateside and in the Vietnam conflict. He proudly served in the Air Force before retiring from the Army in1972.
He was preceded in death by his much loved son Robert Cecil "Big Rob"; Kinlaw, Grandparents Wade and Ruby Johnson, Parents, Cecil and Mary Claire Kinlaw, grandparents, Charlie and Lillie Kinlaw brothers, Thomas Cecil Kinlaw and Charles Wade Kinlaw
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home from 6:00 until 9:00 pm
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 2:00pm from Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home with Stephen Meinhardt officiating. Burial will follow in Kinlaw Family Cemetery.
He is survived by his devoted wife Geneva Hester Kinlaw of the home; sons, Harold Johnson Kinlaw and wife Mary Ann of Orlando Fla.; Charles William Ross II and wife Patricia of Fayetteville; daughters, Julia Claire Kinlaw Humphries of Metairie, La.; MaryKay Kinlaw Colantuono and husband Michael of Hope Mills
He is also survived by the joys of his life, his grandchildren, Anthony Harold Kinlaw of Manchester, TN.; William Christopher Kinlaw of Italy, Amy Marie Pulcer-Burkhardt of Ft. Campbell, KY; Stephen Alexander Kinlaw of Cherry Point; Lora Nicole Kinlaw of Dublin; Jillian Brooke Kinlaw Rice of Dublin and husband Travis; Jessica Ross Bartley and husband Jeremy of Gray TN; Charles William "Chad" Ross III of Fayetteville; and Blake Cameron Raynor of Metairie, La; a brother, William " Billy" Kinlaw of Dublin and a step-mother Geraldine Kinlaw of Little River SC.
