Jo Long

Jo Ann Long, 82, of Bladenboro passed away Monday, November 21, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Currie Long. Jo Ann is survived by two sons: Currie R. Long Jr. and wife Susan and Murrie Long and wife Betty; two daughters: Patricia Hester and husband Al and Retta Wilkins and husband Jerry, three brothers: Charles Adams, Bobby Adams, and Tullen Adams, one sister Linda Carroll, eight grandchildren: Richie Long and wife Robin, Roman Long and wife Jennifer, Amanda Hales and husband Stephen, Trista Hester, Stephen Hester, Jennie Godwin and husband Kenny, Kriston Stevens and husband Coy, and Jerry "Bo" Wilkins and five great grandchildren: Farrah Hester, Zechariah Long, Ethan Hales, Haylie Robinson, and Katelyn Robinson, all of Bladenboro.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, November 22nd at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabehtown. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd at 11:00 am at Sandy Grove Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Jerry Beck and Rev. Larry Hayes. Burial will follow the services in the Long Cemetery in Bladenboro. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bladen Baptist Association, P.O. Box 62, Elizabethtown, NC 28337.
