Joel "Joe" Davis

Joel "Joe" Davis, 71 of Bladenboro passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Joel was born on February 10, 1948 to the late Eldred and Alice Davis. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sue Edwards and Nadine Harriett Tolar. Joe was a family man, who loved his family. He enjoyed helping others when they could not help themselves. He loved to fish and hunt and would always give the fish away that he caught. Joe was happy when he was outside mowing his yard.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Tyler Davis of the home; son, Joey Davis of Bladenboro; daughter, Regina Davis Walters (Glenn) of Bladenboro; brother Charles Davis (Laura) of Elizabethtown; sisters-in-law; Judy Peterson (Tony) of Shallotte; Claudette Mosher (Pat) of Bladenboro; one grandson, Travis Dixon Walters.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Oak Grove Original Freewill Baptist Church followed by a 3 pm funeral service. Burial will follow the services in the church cemetery.
