John Daniel Lashley, Jr.

John Daniel Lashley, Jr., 74, of Elizabethtown, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 surrounded by family.

John is preceded in passing by his parents, J.D. and Adell Atkinson Lashley; and his sister, Dianne Lashley.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Donna of the home, his sisters, Shirley Lashley Ward and her husband Billy, and Toni Lashley Shipman and her husband Thad; his nieces and nephew, Lorie Kelly, Rusty Kelly, Torie Davis and her husband Matthew, and Kynadie Davis; two special aunts Beulah L. Herndon and Grace L. Smith,  and a whole host of friends and extended family too many to name.

John loved his family first and foremost. He enjoyed laughing, spending time with and loving those close to him. He enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed hunting dove and quail and going fishing. Many days you could find him out mowing or just spending time on the farm in Portersville.

A Graveside service will be held Thursday, October 24, at Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown at eleven o’clock in the morning. The family will receive friends and guests after the service.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Samaritans Purse for Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief in John's memory.
