Joseph Bryan

Joseph Walter Bryan, 76, of Tar Heel, entered into eternal rest June 10, 2011.



Mr. Bryan was employed at Carroll's Transfer for 41 years before retiring. He also owned and operated Bryan's Limo Service for 10 years and was a real estate broker and farmer in his spare time.



Mr. Bryan was a member of the Four County Community Services Executive Board. He served as the Secretary and Treasurer, on the Finance Committee, and also served as a deacon at Bethel Baptist Church, where he was a member.



He is survived by his wife, Ceceile Bryan of the home; a daughter, Beverly Sturdivant, and husband, Keith, of Winston-Salem; one grandson, Dalton Terrell of Arlington, VA.



The family will receive friends Saturday, June 11, 2011, from 6:00 - 8:00PM at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Services will be Sunday, June 12, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Williams and Rev. Jerry Beck officiating. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery.
