Joseph Hester

Mr. Houston Hester,72, of Elizabethtown entered into eternal rest Monday, January 26, 2009. He served his country in the U.S. Army and owned his own sawmill.



He was born in Bladen County March 10, 1936 to Woodrow and Mildred Butler Hester.



Predeceased by his parents, Woodrow and Mildred Butler Hester and one sister; Linda Hester.

He is survived by; two sons, Jimmy and Aaron Hester of Dublin; two daughters, Denine Hester of Elizabethtown and Miranda Renaee McCoy of Fayetteville; three sisters, Norma Lou Smothers of Myrtle Beach, Hilda Faye Kinlaw and Myrtle Rose Hester of Dublin; 11 grandchildren.



The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 11:00am at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home, with Rev. Cameron McGill officiating. Burial will follow at Singletary Methodist Church Cemetery in Dublin.
