Joshua Tyler Hunt

Joshua Tyler Hunt born December 12, 1989, and left this world unexpectedly on August 25, 2023. Josh was a resident of Bladenboro and attended West Bladen High School where he graduated in 2008.

Josh spent his time working on motors of all kinds. He was a skillful mechanic and could always be found under the hood of a fast car. Josh also enjoyed skateboarding. He would often be seen showing off his skills, doing what he loved, skating at parks and all over town. Josh had a personality larger than life. He was always full of energy, humor, and he was compassionate for all. Josh had many friends from all walks of life who loved him dearly. Josh was known to keep everyone in the room laughing, he was a natural jokester and storyteller. Most of all Josh loved his children, always wanting the very best for the girls that the world had to offer.

Josh was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Layla Eve Hunt of Tennessee, and his oldest sister, Tara Jane Brickey of Virginia. Surviving Josh are his loving parents, Rickie and Trema Hunt of Bladenboro; two wonderful daughters Lacie Shore of Concord, and Journey Moon Hunt of Bladenboro, brother Matthew (Josie) Hunt of Utah; sister Michelle (Jonas) Riley of Virginia and brother Richard Hunt of South Carolina. Josh leaves behind several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

 The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 pm on Friday, September 1, 2023 at the Bladenboro Chapel of Bladen Gaskins, 800 N. Main St. Bladenboro, NC. A graveside service will follow at 3:15 pm in the Pine Crest Cemetery in Bladenboro with the Reverend Michael Quintin Boyce officiating.
